Living in Thailand can in turn be both rewarding and frustrating. But it is always enlightening, and the Thai people will extend a genuine welcome to westerners who are prepared to accept their way of life and unique culture.
This book gives a light-hearted insight into Thai ways and customs and everyday Thai life, based upon the author’s personal experiences and observations over many years.
The author is a retired Doctor who first visited Thailand on a working holiday in 1982 intending to stay for about four weeks but as it turned out the trip was extended for almost a year. He fell in love with Thailand and visited Thailand every year over the next 25 years before finally retiring here in 2008. Since then he has lived in Bangkok, Pattaya, Huahin and Udon Thani before finally settling in Huahin where he lives with his Thai wife, four rescued dogs and a cat.
